Yas Links is the best links-style course in the Middle East, and one of the most authentic links recreations I've played outside of the British Isles. Kyle Phillips' design uses fescue rough, bounce-and-run fairways, and strategic wind exposure to produce golf that feels genuinely links in character despite being in the middle of Abu Dhabi.
The course sits on Yas Island adjacent to the Formula One circuit and the Yas Marina. The combination of links golf with Abu Dhabi's winter sunshine makes it one of the most enjoyable rounds you can take in the Gulf. At AED 595 (approximately £125) it's sensible value for the quality on offer.
We include Yas Links as a day trip from Dubai Marina — forty-five minutes each way, worth the drive.

Par-4 16th, 447 yards, into the wind
"A long par-4 with Abu Dhabi's skyline visible across the water. The wind is almost always against on the back nine. This hole plays four to five clubs more in the afternoon than the morning."
