Seasonal Guide

Best time to play Turkey

Hot Mediterranean. Belek averages 300 sunshine days per year. Winter is very mild (15°C January average). Summer is genuinely too hot for midday golf — very early tee times are essential.

James's Tips for Golfers

  • 01 All-inclusive in Turkey genuinely includes golf at many properties — check this before booking separately
  • 02 The Belek resort corridor runs from the airport for about 15km — all major courses are within this zone
  • 03 Caddie culture is less developed than Portugal but improving — most courses offer buggies as standard
  • 04 Carry enough GBP/EUR cash for tips and any extras outside the resort
  • 05 Turkish lira has been volatile — lock in your package price in GBP early

Must-Play Courses

Carya Golf Club

18 holes · Par 71 · Nick Faldo design. European Tour qualifier host. Best course in Belek

Gloria Golf Club — New Course

18 holes · Par 71 · Host of the Turkish Airlines Open qualifier. Excellent conditioning

Regnum Carya Golf

18 holes · Par 72 · Newest course in Belek. Practice facilities are Europe-class

Sueno Golf Club — Dunes

18 holes · Par 72 · Links-style through sand dunes. Very different to other Belek courses

For Non-Golfers

Antalya old town (30 minutes) is outstanding — Roman-era architecture, excellent restaurants, and a harbour that's genuinely beautiful. The ancient sites of Termessos and Aspendos are nearby. The resort zone itself has excellent spas at every major hotel.
