ABOUT THE COURSES Royal Waterloo Golf Club has 45 fantastic holes of golf for you to enjoy. More than 20 greenkeepers look after the courses, La Marache, Le Lion and the nine-hole Bois Heros. Close to the famous Battle of Waterloo site these are courses to conquer during a visit to this attractive part of Belgium. La Marache was designed in 196o by Fred Hawtrees and the greens were completely renovated by his son, Martin, in the early part of this century to bring them up to USGA standards. Hawtree Junior continued his work at Royal Waterloo when he redesigned Le Lion in 2014 and 2015.
