ABOUT THE COURSES Aroeira Golf Resort is home to two excellent 18 hole golf courses. Just 30 minutes south of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, you can easily play on your travel days. Aroeira Pines Classic (previously known as Aroeira I) was designed by rFank Pennink and opened in 1973. Play through tall avenues of mature pine trees onto the target greens and enjoy the excellent quality of the mature course. The sister course Aroeira Challenge, formerly known as Aroeira II, opened at the turn of this century. Designed by Donald Steel, this tough layout has 18 long greens, bordering five large lakes.
