ABOUT THE COURSES Mijas Golf has two 18-hole golf courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos. Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, the courses have been updated this century, remaining true to the original layout. Los Olivos, opened in 1984 lives up to its name with plenty of trees lining the narrow fairways and fewer water hazards in your way before reaching the elevated greens. Los Lagos, opened in 1976, is more target orientated as you negotiate the nine lakes, acting as obstacles on 11 of the 18 holes, and plenty of bunkers.
