ABOUT THE COURSE Santana Golf, Mijas, is a par 72 18 hole course set in a former avocado plantation. Surrounded by orange groves and avocado trees the Championship course was designed by Cabell B Robinson. The wide flat fairways feature strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. Each hole presents its own particular challenge. The fourth, for example, begins with spectacular views from the tees with a stream blocking a smooth run to the green. The eighth hole with a length of more than 658 yards from the back tees is possibly the longest hole on the Costa del Sol. If you grab a good score here, pat yourself on the back.
