La Freslonniere golf club is the most accomplished and mature course around Rennes, in the middle of Brittany. The estate of La Freslonniere dates back to the 14th-century but the golf course is a more recent affair having opened in 1989. Just 6300 yards with a par of 72, you may think that La Freslonniere is for the taking. But such is the shape of the fairways and the propensity of the doglegs, you shouldn't take any risks or par will be out of reach. There’s a fair amount of water to watch out for too. Don't be rash in your club selection and you’ll enjoy the scenic walk and clever design where a tactical game will always win the day.
