Moulin de Vernegues****, Mallemort

A fine blend of an old mill and an ultra-modern extension, Moulin de Vernegues has a pool, a splendid spa and looks out on to the second hole of Pont Royal. We’ve eaten at the gourmet restaurant and the brasserie and both were superb. The public rooms are mostly in the old manor and make fine use of the vaulted ceilings and beautiful courtyard. The majority of the bedrooms are in the annexe where glass and wood rule the roost. The light, the style and the seemingly-effortless class go to make Moulin de Vernegues a deserved hit.
