Nantes La Vigneux is the oldest golf course in south Brittany and the Loire Atlantique, dating back to 1921. The enlarged and renovated clubhouse, the ongoing course tweaks, knowledgeable course maintenance and the wonderful woodland site just outside the historic city of Nantes all make for a good golf club. The course features plenty of doglegs and a par of 72 over 6435 yards. With so many doglegs you need to shape the ball or be prepared to keep your driver in your bag on several holes. There’s a stream running through the course as well, so make sure you look at the yardage chart or GPS to avoid a needless penalty. A long-term favourite.
