Bauge Pontigne Golf Club, Bauge-en-Anjou

Bauge Pontigne is one of the best courses in The Loire and there are plenty to choose from. Along with Sable Solesmes , it forms an oasis of high-quality where you’re going to play good golf and see gorgeous countryside. It measures nearly 6500 yards off the Whites with a fair Slope Rating of 130. Laid out in a sort of snail shell arrangement, Bauge meanders through woodland. It’s a mostly American-type layout with a touch of classic parkland. With four holes featuring a heavy dose of water and plenty of bunkers, you might be apprehensive at first but the hazards are mostly visual and you’ll soon realise that Bauge is a very pretty and fair challenge.
