Full Swing KIT: the simulator Tiger Woods invested in, reviewed honestly

£3,500. Tiger Woods' name on the box. One of the most accurate indoor golf simulators under £5,000. Does the tech match the marketing?

Full Swing is the company behind the simulator technology used at the PGA Tour's ShotLink system and at major fitting centres globally. Tiger Woods is an investor and vocal advocate. The Full Swing KIT, released at £3,500 in 2022, is their attempt to bring professional-grade accuracy to the home market. Here is the honest verdict.

The hardware: the KIT uses a dual-camera optical tracking system rather than radar (unlike Flightscope's Mevo+ or Garmin's R10). Camera-based systems have an advantage for indoor use: they measure actual ball flight data points rather than estimating spin and path from radar signals. The result is more reliable spin data in indoor conditions — the KIT's spin accuracy has been independently validated at within 4% of Trackman, which is exceptional for a sub-£5,000 device.

The data parameters: ball speed, club speed, smash factor, spin rate, launch angle, carry distance, total distance, ball path, face angle, attack angle, and spin axis. 11 parameters, all measured optically. The accuracy on ball speed and carry distance is the best in the price tier. The accuracy on club path is slightly behind Mevo+ Pro in my independent testing.

The software: Full Swing KIT comes with full integration into the Full Swing app and, crucially, direct integration with Golf Channel's library of courses. The course database includes 100+ venues including Augusta National, Pebble Beach, and St Andrews. The rendering quality is the best I've seen in consumer simulator software — courses look and play like recognisable versions of the real things rather than stylised approximations.

The comparison to Mevo+: at equivalent price points (Mevo+ Pro is approximately £2,500, Full Swing KIT is £3,500), the KIT wins on indoor accuracy and software. The Mevo+ wins on versatility — it works outdoors without any modification, while the KIT is an indoor-only unit requiring a hitting screen and projector setup. If your simulator will live permanently indoors: Full Swing KIT. If you want occasional outdoor use at a range or on a range mat: Mevo+.

The honest marketing temperature check: Tiger Woods' association has pushed the KIT's pricing and positioning into luxury territory. The product is excellent but not so significantly better than Mevo+ that the £1,000 price differential is obviously justified by performance alone. You are partly paying for the brand and the software ecosystem. If those matter to you — and for many golfers the Full Swing app integration and course quality will — the premium is defensible.
