Colin Montgomerie's design along the Da Nang coastline is where serious golfers come to hit shots in Vietnam. The course runs along the beach with the South China Sea visible from most holes. The greens are fast and true, the conditioning is excellent, and the pace of play is managed well by the club. Morning starts give you the best light; afternoon rounds provide the most dramatic sky.

At £85 per round it's slightly more expensive than the other Da Nang courses but justified by conditioning and design quality. Caddie is mandatory and the caddies here are among the best I've encountered — most have worked the course for a decade and read breaks that I'd miss every time.
