Overview

Fancourt. The Outeniqua Mountains. Indigenous forests. George Airport.

The Garden Route is South Africa's most scenic drive and Fancourt sits at the heart of it. Three courses, including The Links — ranked among Africa's top 5 — all within the same estate. Combine it with Pezula in Knysna and you have one of the most compelling weeks in African golf.

Who this is for

Made for the serious golfer. Fancourt's The Links is the finest course in Africa by most rankings — if this is on your list, now is the time. Pairs beautifully with non-golf experiences: the Garden Route drive, Tsitsikamma National Park, the ostrich farms at Oudtshoorn.

October to April is optimal — warm, dry, courses immaculate. The Garden Route has a milder, wetter climate than the Cape — light showers are not unusual year-round but rarely cancel play. George Airport makes access easy.
