Overview

Windsor Golf Hotel. Karen Country Club. Three days in the Maasai Mara.

The only trip that legitimately requires you to look out for hippos on the fairway (Windsor). Play colonial-era courses in Nairobi with the Ngong Hills behind you, then drive to the Maasai Mara for three days of game drives. This is the bucket list of bucket list trips.

Who this is for

The bucket list trip for golfers who have already ticked the courses off. Kenya offers something no other golf destination can: genuinely wild Africa combined with historic colonial-era golf clubs and a city (Nairobi) with more energy than most European capitals.

July to September and January to March are the best windows — dry seasons, game migration active. The Maasai Mara Great Migration peaks in August. Nairobi's climate is mild year-round (at 1,800m) — rarely above 28°C. April–June is the long rains: avoid.
