Overview

Greg Norman. Mountain backdrops. Zero tour groups.

Oman is what the UAE was twenty years ago: extraordinary landscape, genuine hospitality, and golf courses that haven't yet been discovered by everyone. The Greg Norman-designed Almouj Golf at The Wave is as good as anything in the region — you just won't have to share it.

Who this is for

For the traveller who's done Dubai and wants something more authentic, less commercial. Oman is extraordinary — the landscape alone would justify the flight. The golf is genuinely good. The country is safe, welcoming, and almost entirely free of mass tourism.

October to March is the window — 24–32°C, rarely exceeds 35°C. April is borderline. May–September is 40–50°C in Muscat. The courses at Almouj are elevated slightly which helps but summer golf is not viable.
