Overview

Jungle hills, Andaman views, and some of Asia's best resort golf.

Phuket's golf scene is underplayed. The courses here climb into rubber tree forests with Andaman Sea views on every other hole. Loch Palm, Red Mountain, and Laguna Phuket are all within 45 minutes. When you're not playing, the beaches actually justify the reputation.

Who this is for

The ideal mixed-group trip: serious enough courses to satisfy a 12-handicapper, and a world-class beach destination for those who don't play. Red Mountain alone justifies the trip. Works year-round on the west coast (Andaman Sea).

November to April is the Andaman Sea's dry season — best golf conditions, calm sea. May–October is monsoon on the west coast. Most golf courses remain open but afternoon rain is near-daily. If you're flexible, April offers great value before the season closes.
